This bank holiday weekend I got to celebrate with my best friend on her birthday. We spent the day sipping champagne and made the most out of the rare British sunshine with a very British BBQ.
I was rummaging through my clothes, praying that I would find something to wear amongst the mass of no’s, when I came across this Manière De Voir dress that I of course completely forgot I owned.
I adore the tie-up details on the side of the waist and legs, this dress is very figure-hugging too. The best thing is that you can dress this up with a pair of heels or dress it down with a pair of trainers.
How did you spend your Bank Holiday Weekend?
It’s been a busy couple of days hence the lack of posts.
I just wanted to share a quick outfit post. I’ve been so inspired by the AW16 jumper and mini skirt trend that I decided to try it out for myself. Although I’m a season ahead 😉
There are certain things that don’t just capture my eye for a second. There are certain things that ignite a strong desire and stay with me until I get them.
When I saw the runway photos from the Moschino SS15 show, I was in awe of the pink leather skirt. I have remained so ever since. I had to get it one way or another…
Last month was the first time I’d been paid from my new job, so I trailed all my favourite sites like Topshop, Missguided, River Island etc and didn’t find anything that particularly stood out to me. So I visited House of CB and scrolled through the entire website until I went to the skirts section. Then, I fell in love again…
A blush pink leather skirt appeared on my screen and if life was a film, ‘Hallelujah’ would’ve been the background song. I’d lusted for the Moschino skirt for a year and I’d finally found the perfect solution. For £69 how could I resist?

The skirt is of beautiful quality; it looks and feels more expensive than it is.
LESSON: Never give up searching! Life has a funny way of giving you exactly what you want.

This year’s Met Gala was themed ‘China: Through The Looking Glass‘. All the top celeb names were there from Beyoncé to Madonna. Hype was built from the beginning of the day with designers posting picture details of their ‘Asian’ creations. This post is dedicated to all my favourite looks of the ball regardless of how well they actually followed the theme…

These were my absolute favourite looks of the gala, particularly Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian’s outfits. Dare I say it, I was very disappointed in the Moschino looks worn by both Katy Perry and Madonna. Never the less, regardless of my opinion, no matter how pretty the dresses were, many designers (if not all) didn’t stick to the theme.
