Haute Couture week is the in which designers get to showcase their most extravagant creations. From Alberta Ferreti to Zuhair Murad, this blog post is dedicated to my personal favourites from the Haute Couture season that has just passed.
Raf Simons creates elegance for Dior’s HC collection featuring pastels, embroidery and sparkle.
When you’re a child, you get a dress from Disney to make all your princess dreams come true. When you’re an adult, you get a dress from Elie Saab to make all your princess dreams come true. Golden threads, pastel pinks and blues, twinkling embroidery and a bridal end of show dress make the Elie Saab show the fairest of them all.
Ralph & Russo
Metallic tones, lace, tight waistlines and huge skirt details stunned at Ralph and Russo. Runway beauty for any bride to be.
If you ever wondered what Roman royalty would wear, look no further than Valentino. Rich reds, golden gladiator sandals and beaded head wear gave the models in Rome the appeal of an empress.
Viktor and Rolf
There’s isn’t much to say about the Viktor and Rolf runway as the garments speak for themselves. However, it truly demonstrates how fashion is an art.
Zuhair Murad was ultimately my favourite Haute Couture collection this season. The colours and sprawled resembles the ever changing colours of the sky and the tailoring of the dresses screams elegance and marvel.
Those are my favourites, what were yours?
