Today is a cause for celebration. Molicia is in the mood to pop a bottle of champagne and reflect on the amazing 2 years she’s been blogging with WordPress.
For any blogger, it can be difficult to define what content you create good and where your strengths lie. The last couple of years have been blessed with learning experiences and happiness. I hope my loyal readers can see the passion that goes into this blog and I hope it brings you all as much happiness as it brings me. I would like to thank everyone who has become a part of Molicia’s journey so far for their continuous support and the joy they bring me.
I would also like to present the opportunity for any of Molicia’s readers to comment on what they most enjoy about the blog and anything they would like to see. I’m open to any ideas as I want to continue making the blog enjoyable for the all you loyal supporters. Feel free to comment below any suggestions.
Again, thank you for your support! Here’s to many more anniversarys to celebrate!
You know that evil little voice inside your mind that tells you that you’re not good enough? That attempts to deteriorate the confidence you made so much effort to build upon? The creature that prevents you from making choices that would otherwise make you happy?
DON’T LISTEN TO IT.
The limitations you think you have are mostly illusions of your mind. Do not let the insecurity demons take away any opportunity for you; you can do it! And even if you fail… So what? You’ll either succeed or learn a lesson, there is nothing to lose.
Your calling. The reason you are here on this tiny speck in the middle of an infinite space. The reason you fight wars and remain triumphant after every conflict. Even the reason you make it out of bed 9/10 mornings.
As the quote states, no one can reveal the true reason why you’re here. That is up for you to determine yourself. It is something that pumps adrenaline all over your body and brings you the height of happiness. It’s that warm and giddy feeling that you cannot describe. A combination of passion, lust and euphoria.
I am first to admit, I’m still not 100% sure of the precise details of what my calling is, but that’s okay. I have a feeling I know what it is, but only time and more growth will tell.
Finding your calling is much simpler than you may think. It’s a case of concluding what brings you the most joy and sparks a fire inside of you.
So whatever gives you that type of feeling, make sure you go out and persue it. Anything you put your mind to you can achieve. Believe you can and you will.
P.S. Happy holidays! 🌲🎅🏻❤️
I happen to be in a very reflective mood today. Whether this is a mid-week symptom that occurs to me or just a coincidence, I’m not sure.
Today’s topic is perspective of the life you live.
In 50 years time I don’t want to be someone who reflects on their life and wishes they had tried harder or followed their passion but ignored their soul’s urges and lived society’s idea of an average life. If that happens to me (and I strive to make sure that doesn’t), I will know that I failed to make myself happy.
What substance to a life can you have without happiness? Although happiness isn’t constant and sometimes it feels as though the world has swallows you up and there’s no escape. That is also temporary. Happiness is what I want from my life. I will have no regrets if I am happy in the end. And I think that’s a lesson that takes some people a lifetime to learn. And at the age of 17, I don’t want to risk that.
Happiness. That’s all.
Wednesday evening and I’m feeling stressed as ever with college, people, just life in general really! It’s times like these though that I really need to remember that my circumstances are not my fault and that my circumstances can be changed with a tiny sprinkle of positivity.
Learning to love yourself is a long and difficult path of self discovery. However, it’s one of the most important journeys in life, why? Because if you love yourself you have respect for yourself, you don’t let people or situations get you down, you think about your happiness and no bitterness prevents you from getting what you want from life.
I can’t lie and say this journey is complete for me as of yet, but I hated myself last year and now I can say that I’m in midst of the process of loving myself full time even with part time thoughts that bring me down.
Remember though, loving yourself doesn’t make you arrogant or selfish! Putting your own happiness first is something everyone should do every now and then, if not, always. You’ll be a happier person and you’ll understand yourself much better, I promise.
Sorry I haven’t posted a lot recently guys, I’ve got a lot of coursework deadlines to meet at college! (Stress!)
To sprinkle a dash of positivity, this post I found on Tumblr speaks volumes.
So, you may have had the shittiest day ever, like a living nightmare and you may be stressed out of your mind.. BUT to stop that shitty day from being even shittier, do something that makes you happy and will almost guarantee a pretty smile back on your face. Whether it’s having a cup of tea, doing a workout or watching your favourite movie with a tub of ice cream (my favourite method), life is only going to be as good as you make it. Throw the negativity away with the hours of the day you have left to lift your mood.
Having a positive mindset really is the key to happiness and it doesn’t take much change to make a huge difference to your life.
