Updated Holy Grail List

I can’t even remember the last time I wrote about my holy grails. As I said in a previous post, I have a TONNE of new makeup and with that I have added a lot to my holy grail list. So here it is!

L’ORÉAL PARIS True Match Foundation has neverrrrr ever let me down! It’s a heavy coverage that beats the formula of most high end products.

Why it’s holy grail: Even on a bad day, this foundation only needs a small amount of reapplication at the end of a long day. It’s great for girls who love a strong base.

MAYBELINE Lasting Drama Gel Liner On my previous holy grail list was the BENEFIT Push Up Liner which still deserves high credit, but this is just over half the price and the results are very similar.

Why it’s holy grail: It’s cheap and very long lasting. The brush also makes it easy to apply a thin and thick liner depending on your preference. I have 0 issues with this product.

L’ORÉAL PARIS Telescopic Mascara Every girl with short and flat lashes raise your hand (me!). This will change your life. No need for falsies with this beaut in your makeup bag!

Why it’s holy grail: The thick formula and thin brush creates major volume and length. There’s also no need for tonnes of layers, I feel as though 2 is more than enough.

  BENEFIT Watts Up! Highlighter

Holy grail since I discovered highlighting, this products can give you a natural or heavy glow depending on how much you build the product.

Why it’s holy grail: Super easy to apply and comes with a sponge to blend, what more could you want?

  NIVEA Lip Butter

Some lip balms can actually dry your lips out and cause you to reapply them 24/7. NOT THIS ONE. Winter can be a killer for your lips so for super soft lips this is exactly what you need.

Why it’s holy grail: You don’t need to constantly reapply this product. I use it once in the morning and once at night. My lips are never chapped and it also is a great base for lipstick, or even on its own for day time looks.

This is so perfect. So perfect. When you apply it, it’s soft and creamy and then dries to mattify. Exfoliate and moisturise your lips before using matte lipsticks because they will dry them out.

Why it’s holy grail: The formula makes it long lasting and it looks so good on!

That’s all from my holy grail list. Is there any products you would like me to give a full review of? Leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Happy 2016! I hope this year brings you blessings, success and happiness. I’ve always loved the feeling of starting fresh. Every year I write a list of goals I want to achieve in the next 365, (this year 366) days.

As I recently turned 18, I spent my night at a club in Brighton with some of the girls. One thing that’s really surprised me is that no matter how far you venture out you always bump into people you know, so I got to spend some time with old friends too.

Jumpsuit: Missguided, Heels and Cuff: Primark, Rings: Topshop

It’s a common fact that I’m obsessed with black clothes; it mixes and matches with so many other colours! I decided to paint my nails a dark berry red and add some sparkly accessories to make it stand out.
For the glam, I opted for my trademark smokey eye and nude lips. My makeup collection has grown rapidly, so I’ll post some reviews soon.

Makeup Details:

Base: Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Brightening Makeup mixed with L’Oréal Paris True Match Liquid Foundation

Contour and Highlight: Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Series Contour Cream Kit and Pro Series Contour (powder) Kit

Strobing: Benefit Watt’s Up! highlighter

Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz

Eyes: Urban Decay Naked 2 palette, Benefit They’re Real! Push-Up Liner on the lashline and waterline, Eylure Volume 101 with  L’Oréal False Lash Telescopic mascara.

Lips: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick

How To Dress To Impress At Your Job Interview

Sleek hair and nude toned makeup.

Have a job interview soon and want to look professional but at the same time keep true to your style? I have the answers! I was in this situation myself this week. In the past I have kept it simple with a pencil skirt and a blouse but I felt uncomfortable and I certainly didn’t feel like myself. This time around though I was convinced that I could succeed the interview and look stylish at the same time. Here’s how I did it:

The Face & Hair

I have read soooooooo many articles that claim to look as natural as possible in regards to your makeup. But not all of us feel confident without our glam and that could massively affect your performance in the interview. I want to be confident and powerful! And I don’t know about you but any company that would prefer me to not feel this way is one that I would not wish to be employed by.

I did try and keep my makeup simple. I toned down my usual smokey eye by using lighter colours. I used bronzer on the lid, Naked 2 in shade ‘tease’ on the socket and outer crease and ‘bootycall’ on the inner corner. Topped with liquid liner and a few coats of mascara. I also stuck to my usual highlight and contour and finished with a nude lipstick.

Just having straight hair doesn’t make me feel as though I look professional and therefore I decided to do one of my favourite hair styles which is fool proof on even the worst of your bad hair days.

First, I straightened my hair with GHD irons. I then put my hair in a middle parting and separated the two sides and placed that hair behind my ears. After, back-comb the crown in two sections. Spritz some hairspray and brush out the back-comb starting at the bottom of the hair to ensure that your effort is not wasted and you have the volume required.

The Outfit

outfit full

Dress: New Look, Bracelet: Marc Jacobs

Don’t want to opt for the pencil skirt and blouse combo? Stand out and your interview with a jumper dress. Dresses are a great way to feel good at an interview but make sure it is at least knee-length. The dress that I’m wearing has the shirt collar within the dress. However, you could achieve the same look with a jumper dress and a white blouse underneath, or even a shirt underneath a v-neck jumper with a pair of black trousers would look just as fab. To finish the look I teamed this with a pair of black heels. Make sure you can walk properly in the heels you choose though, you don’t want to LITERALLY stumble at the first hurdle!

And if you don’t believe that this is a great idea for an interview, then you don’t have to listen to me. But here’s a fact… I got asked to do a trial day at the company so I must’ve done something right 😉

Of course, the look is just the first part but first impressions are so important and if you feel super confident in your clothes, it really makes a great difference to how comfortable you feel in the interview.

Have a great weekend guys!

Molicia Mondays: Strobing Like A Star For Less 🌟

Evening all. I recently discovered the gems that Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic uses for her flawless strobing.

It comes to no surprise that the star uses the ultimate high-end products to achieve ultimate glam. She starts with Benefit Watts Up highlighter for a creamy base and follows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator for solid shine.

I’m not claiming to be any sort of expert BUT after some experimentation I found a way to achieve a similar glow for a lot less!

Urban Decay Naked 2 palette

As Kim does, I use the Benefit Watts Up highlighter on my nose and above my cheek bones in a C formation that starts above the arch of the brow and finishes above the cheekbones.

I then use Half Baked, a golden shade from the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and trace over the C shape.

All to do next is to dust off the excess product and voila! You have a simple substitute to the ABH Illuminator that you probably never realised you had. Of course, you can do this with any gold eyeshadow you have.

Give it a try and let me know what you think!

I’m back!

Hi bloggers, guess what?… I’m back! Exam season is officially over and I can’t tell you how happy I am that I can start putting my energy back into my blog.

Today I’m not posting an OOTD post as it’s Sunday and Sunday means chilling out to the point where you don’t feel human anymore and forget about your responsibilities for 24 hours.

There is such great energy around me right now and I am SO excited about the opportunities that are being bought to my life. Finally starting to realise that my hard work is finally paying off!
So for today I am resting because I have a busy and exciting week coming up. My hair is messy as it deserves a day off from the GHDs but of course I’ve still done my makeup.

I’m also making a point of not changing out of a baggy jumper and trackies. Slob style on fleek!

Just to add the makeup details:

Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid foundation

Non branded concealer for highlighting

Benefit Watt’s Up! Highlighter

Bourjois Délice de Poudre bronzer

Rimmel London eyebrow pencil

Black mascara on the brows

Naked 2 shades: bootycall, chopper, tease, snakebite and busted

L’oreal Paris Superliner Blackbuster
Who else loves to relax on a Sunday?

OOTD: As Dark As My Eyes

College is so so exhausting. The cold weather doesn’t help either. I’ve always struggled with what to wear during winter, but you can pretty much wear anything as long as you wear a huge fluffy coat!

Today, I opted for all black (as usual). Teaming my Alexander Wang x H&M cropped jumper with a black midi skirt. I didn’t wear the coat in the picture because I hate how it dilutes the detail from my top!

What better way to match a dark outfit with dark makeup and a dark mood. As number 1 fan of the smokey, I’d be totally lost without the Urban Decay Naked Palette 2. This look was achieved by using Foxy on the brow bone, Tease and Snakebite on the lid, Busted on the crease and lower lid, Bootycall on the tear duct and YDK on the lower lash line.

After that, I applied the Benefit Push Up Liner to create a wing, followed by a Rimmel London kohl pencil on my water line. Finished off with a pair of my holy grail Eyelure lashes in 107.

It seems like such an effort to make just to go to college, but doing this makes me feel so much better about myself! And even if you have a pretty shitty day like I did, at least you know you looked good through it!

I hope your day was better than mine and let me know what you think today’s glam ✨
