The Balmain army consisting the most famous models of today and the A-list Kardashian clan had its ‘armour shed’ in the words of the creative director Olivier Rousteing, who has made the fashion house such a success. The materials used were light and the silhouette relaxed compared to the skin-tight and heavily embellished bodycon we are used to seeing. The colours reflected the stripped-down theme with tones of khaki and copper. Reptile skin belts wrapped around the waists of the softer Balmain dresses and as usual, gold dominates the accessories. The collection ultimately reflects the celebration of the success of the brand and the reign of Olivier Rousteing.
