Day 7 of New York Fashion Week is one of my favourites yet. I was so surprised about how much I liked Michael Kors this season and DKNY was pure fire.
Despite popular belief that Michael Kors is just a supplier of beige logo handbags and rose gold watches to every white girl on the planet (including me), the designer has created beautiful ready-to-wear collections too. Feathers were heavily featured but used delicately on skirts and sleeves. This is also one of the only shows that I have seen a generally broad colour schemes and materials. So if you want to look smart and pretty, invest in a Michael Kors skirt and blazer set, and even a bag of you want to go the extra mile.
A unique show that featured abstract ideas of silhouette on the body. I especially like the white jumpsuit featuring the silk tie around the waist and pink embellished gloves. If you like modern art in clothes form and a few pops of colour, Delpozo can give you that this season.
‘Don’t knock New York’ wasn’t the only bold statement made at DNKY‘s show; suspenders, all black and hipster trousers, too. For the modern woman with a street style game stronger than most.
The dresses and jumpers… 😍 Do I really have to say much else? Constructed with lace tie ups and a silhouette that clings to the body in all the right places, a neutral colour palette and shoes with metalic points. I am in love.
