Nobody would hate Mondays if they were spent at New York Fashion Week. Plenty of talent was displayed yesterday, so much so that it took me such a long time to select my favourites.
Ultra feminine meets city chic this season at Carolina Herrera. Materials that flow and dazzling embellishments give the female touch to pieces that would otherwise be masculine. The leather jacket and dress is definitely my favourite look from this collection.
3.1 Phillip Lim
I am always pleased with the looks that come down the 3.1 Phillip Lim runway. The bold masculine tailoring along with trousers and skirts that show off the waist is a formula that never fails to create a cool, relaxed and mysterious look.
Another hidden treasure I have discovered this season is Maiyet. The use of black sheer materials gives a dark but pretty detail to the clothes. The shoulder detail of the black dress (photo 1) gives me life. I never want this shoulder detail trend to go away!
I really love the colour scheme used here; not just black but silver, deep reds and lilacs. Silhouette clinging dresses, body jewellery and black lace gloves. A beautiful and strong statement to make at any red carpet event.
