Halloween OOTN: Glampire 😈❣

Vamping it

To celebrate Halloween, one of my friends held a Halloween themed gathering for all the girls.

Stressing as usual over what to wear weeks before hand, only to pick a last minute dressy-casual outfit and with a trickle of fake blood I was transformed into a vampire.

Leather leggings- Uniquilo, boots- Dune

If you’ve been following me for a while, you will have realised by now that I am obsessed with leather in a way that is possibly unhealthy. The combination of leather, sequins and suede made me embrace the feminine and sultry character of the female vampire.

The combination of a classic smokey eye, lashes and a deep red lip completed the look. I also used fake blood (Morrisons £2) to create a dripping effect from my mouth. There was supposed to be a vampire bite on my neck however I totally failed and rather than looking like someone had sunk their teeth into me, the circles/blobs looked like they were attempted by a 5 year old. Actually… A 5 year old would’ve done a better job!

Happy Halloween!

Wise Words Wednesday: Life

I happen to be in a very reflective mood today. Whether this is a mid-week symptom that occurs to me or just a coincidence, I’m not sure.

Today’s topic is perspective of the life you live.

In 50 years time I don’t want to be someone who reflects on their life and wishes they had tried harder or followed their passion but ignored their soul’s urges and lived society’s idea of an average life. If that happens to me (and I strive to make sure that doesn’t), I will know that I failed to make myself happy.

What substance to a life can you have without happiness? Although happiness isn’t constant and sometimes it feels as though the world has swallows you up and there’s no escape. That is also temporary. Happiness is what I want from my life. I will have no regrets if I am happy in the end. And I think that’s a lesson that takes some people a lifetime to learn. And at the age of 17, I don’t want to risk that.

Happiness. That’s all.

Molicia Mondays: Strobing Like A Star For Less 🌟

Evening all. I recently discovered the gems that Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic uses for her flawless strobing.

It comes to no surprise that the star uses the ultimate high-end products to achieve ultimate glam. She starts with Benefit Watts Up highlighter for a creamy base and follows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator for solid shine.

I’m not claiming to be any sort of expert BUT after some experimentation I found a way to achieve a similar glow for a lot less!

Urban Decay Naked 2 palette

As Kim does, I use the Benefit Watts Up highlighter on my nose and above my cheek bones in a C formation that starts above the arch of the brow and finishes above the cheekbones.

I then use Half Baked, a golden shade from the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and trace over the C shape.

All to do next is to dust off the excess product and voila! You have a simple substitute to the ABH Illuminator that you probably never realised you had. Of course, you can do this with any gold eyeshadow you have.

Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Raf Simons Kisses Goodbye To Dior 😭❣

You may have already heard, and if you haven’t I’m going to deliver the news… Raf Simons, creative director at Dior is resigning from his position to focus on his own line and other projects. Don’t shoot the messenger!

Personally, I love the way Raf has imprinted his own vision onto the fashion house and as I wish him the best of luck, I am sure that he is leaving big boots to fill.

To celebrate the designer’s time at Dior, here is a piece from every Ready To Wear collection through the years that Raf has stunned me with.

Molicia Mondays: Tumblr Love ❤️

Screenshots of my Tumblr blog

Hello my lovelies, Monday is such a drag, right? It’s been a pretty bland day for me but this evening I’m visiting some family and saying goodbye to my grandparents as they move to Spain for the Winter on Wednesday. As they spend the last months of the year in sun, I look forward to forever hermitting at home and reigning the fortress that is my house proudly with a long and fluffy blanket around my arms.

Onto today’s post…

I pretty much just wanted an excuse to self-promo my Tumblr blog. If you love everything fashion from runway to street style and want to know me on a deeper level, follow me!

PFW Faves

Hello everyone. Fashion month has come to an end (cry). But don’t you worry, it’s here for just one more day within this post. This season Paris Fashion Week has been my favourite. From Dior to Valentin Yudashkin I have been stunned by the rich amount of talent there is in the French fashion houses. Here’s the final instalment of Fashion Week Faves…

Sarah Burton carries on McQueen’s legacy. Shades of pink, black and cream dominate the runway with slim silhouettes.

Olivier Rousteing collaborates with a start-studded cast of models. Suede, jewelled skirts, clinch-waist silhouette and neutral colours were major themes of the SS16 RTW collection. This was definitely my favourite show in Paris, possibly in the whole of fashion month. I might be a little biased, but Olivier Rousteing is such a talented designer and business man. Every Balmain collection dazzles me and leaves me eager for the next.

Raf Simons has done it yet again. Feminine tailoring, metallic handbags and sheer two pieces featured on the runway with this season’s common theme of white, black and pink.

I LOVE Iris Van Herpen. The modern craftsmanship and feminine tailoring creates a high level of design that could be mistaken for Haute Couture, rather than Ready To Wear.

A utility theme similar to Versace at Mugler. Think leather and metallics. But for all the anti all black goers, opt for a vibrant jumpsuit.

My aesthetic to a T. Sheer fabrics on bombers and dresses as well as the re-occurring colour scheme of white and pink.

Bye-bye fashion month! I’ve LOVED doing these posts on fashion week. High fashion runway is my favourite type of fashion and you never know… one day I may be able to take my own photos along with an official invited!

Wishing upon a star,

LONDON x Louis Vuitton

Good Afternoon guys and girls!

On Saturday I had the privilege of going to see the Louis Vuitton Series 3 exhibition in my favourite place in the world; London. I must confess, my best friend and I were a little too excited and spend wayyyyyyy too long getting ready that we were late to catch our train. Panicking that we would miss our time slot, I speedily whipped out my phone and booked us tickets for 5pm instead of 1pm. Thank God I did because we didn’t get into London until 1:30pm!

After a lovely lunch, a magical street performance and a trip to Harrods, it was time to discover the world of fashion through the eyes of head designer of Louis Vuitton Nicholas Ghesquiere.

It is so difficult to choose my favourite part of the exhibiton, BUT it has to be the infinite runway. You walk into a mirrored room that has screens on different tiers everywhere that showcase a couple of seconds of every look from the F/W15 runway show. You can’t keep your eyes on one screen because the beauty of the room is incredible. You can’t focus and your eyes wonder and marvel at the spectacular art.

There was no glass to stop you from touching but I didn't feel worthy | Photo source: ME!

Like walking into your dream wardrobe, selected pieces were showcased in glass. Some pieces had no glass to prevent you from touching the luxury but like when Anna Kenderick was in the same room as Beyonce and she didn’t feel worthy of looking at her, I didn’t feel worthy of touching the beautiful garments.

Towards the end of the exhibition there were a couple of stools offering freebies. Of course, I took advantage of this… it would be rude not to. I now own a Louis Vuitton Series 3 poster and some stunning little stickers with the initial of my first name and a handbag.

Oh, it's me @ LV S3 | Photo soure: ME!

If you love designer freebies, fashion and fun attend the exhibition at 180 Strand, London.

If you’ve been already I’d love to know, did you enjoy it as much as I did?

Until next time.
