As Paris fashion week kicks off, here comes the weekly favourites post. Milan fashion week has got to be one of my favourites. I am so obsessed with the Italian luxury that is sewn into the garments of the fashion houses.
Dolce and Gabbana
D&G have done it once again. The fashion powerhouse has kept to it’s traditional style of regal embroidery and classy prints but modernised the show with models taking selfies as they walked down the runway.
Pink is next Summer’s ultimate colour as demonstrated by Giorgio Armani. Whatever shade you choose, team with black for the ultimate spin on the classic monochrome.
This show was SO strong. It was so difficult to choose the looks I wanted to feature because if I could’ve posted every single one of them, I would’ve done! Neutral colour tones with masculine tailoring and a feminine touch.
A unique show by Fausto Puglisi showcasing a beach inspired collection featuring palm prints and sea shell embellishments teamed with cowboy boots of a similar fashion.
Leather, studs, silver and black featured at Philipp Plein. If you have an inner edgy rockstar inside you, think all black and get your leather studded. Team with the chunky studded wedges as shown by models Bella Hadid and Natasha Poly.
With some of the world’s biggest names in the modelling world: Natasha Poly, Joan Smalls and Gigi Hadid, the Versace show was highly anticipated. With their signature sexy style of masculine tailoring and bold colours, the show had to make it to the favourites.
That’s all from Milan Fashion Week. The photo source of all the runway images: Vogue.co.uk I will have a follow up post on Paris Fashion Week when it finishes. I’m especially looking forward to Dior, Louis Vuitton and Chanel. This Saturday I am visiting the current Louis Vuitton Series 3 exhibition in London so stay tuned for that post!
